Part of the Designer Boys Natural Coral Series, this archival artwork was developed in partnership between Museum Victoria and Designer Boys, drawing from illustrations originally published in Albertus Seba’s Locupletissimi rerum naturalium thesauri accurata descriptio in 1734. Reimagined in indigo, the historic illustration becomes a timeless piece of coastal wall art with a wonderful sense of provenance.

The branching composition makes Natural Coral VII particularly effective as a statement piece above a console, sideboard or bedside setting. Its rich indigo colouring also provides an easy way to introduce depth into predominantly white or neutral rooms while tying together blue and white furnishings, ceramics and textiles.
